MANCHESTER, Jamaica — A man was shot dead at his home in Trinity near Porus, Manchester on Thursday, leaving the community in shock and disbelief.Police and relatives identified him as 57-year-old landscaper Andrew Williams.Police said about 11:00 am, concerned relatives made a grisly discovery when they went to check on Williams.His bullet-riddled body was found in his bedroom.Detectives said Williams had multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body.Distraught relatives huddled together near the house as detectives processed the scene.“He is the first in the family to have passed in this tragic way,” said Williams’ brother, Jerold Williams.The leadership of the Manchester police division, including newly minted commander Deputy Superintendent Odean Dennis, was also at the scene.— Kasey Williams
