Iyara pays homage to his female fans with ‘Bad Gyal’

Dancehall artiste Iyara, whose hit songs include GOAT Get Weh and Big Vibe (Arubadubadu), knows the importance of staying true to his female fan base. His latest single, Bad Gyal, the follow-up to the Hill and Gully rhythm-driven Mama and Papa, pays homage to his female fans.“I realised that I needed to pay my female fans more attention. Once you have the females in your corner, wherever they go, the men will follow, so eventually you get both fans and your fan base grows,” Iyara told Observer Online recently.Iyara believes that his focus on female fans has been instrumental in the increased streaming of his music on streaming platforms.“I have seen that having a strong female following helps to grow the streams faster because females share whatever they like so your fanbase will definitely grow stronger,” said Iyara.Bad Gyal was produced by Orlando, Florida-based Bellevue Entertainment.“Working with Bellevue Entertainment on this project has been a good experience. The musical chemistry was amazing writing the song and putting the music video together. What stood out most were the girls who had a load of vibes. We have lots of unreleased projects but we are keeping the focus on the girls, because now is a female moment,” he said.
