Anwar Gargash praises UAE leadership's handling of Iran crisis

Dubai: His Excellency Dr Anwar bin Mohammed Gargash, Diplomatic Advisor to the UAE President, has praised the leadership’s approach to the crisis related to the war in Iran and its repercussions.In a post on his X platform account, Gargash said the UAE’s handling of the situation combined wisdom, steadfastness in positions, and flexibility when required.“As we approach the signing of the anticipated agreement between Washington and Tehran, which will turn the page on the war and open a political path that we hope will be successful, we cannot help but commend our wise leadership’s handling of this crisis and its repercussions,” he said.He added that the UAE’s position reflects a consistent approach based on balance and adaptability during different stages of the crisis.Gargash also emphasised that the UAE has always advocated for peace and stability, while remaining firmly committed to protecting national interests.“We have never been advocates of war, and we will always remain advocates of peace and stability, while firmly committed to defending the homeland and preserving its sovereignty and interests,” he said.
