President Donald Trump claimed the crowd was incredible at the Great American State Fair kickoff rally Wednesday night held in the National Mall.He continued on Truth Social, At least 45,000 people were there, with a huge Television and online audience.However, independent media estimates contradict his claims. NBC News estimated attendance at more than 1,000, while the Washington Post reported the crowd thinly covered an area about the length of the National Museum of American History, smaller than some summer outdoor movie screenings. Video footage shows a steady stream of people walking away during Trump's speech. The event's kickoff was marred by several musical acts withdrawing due to concerns about its political nature. Trump's remarks touted Washington, D.C., infrastructure improvements and compared his political movement to the American Revolution. As you can see in the clip above, Fox's The Big Weekend Show kicked off their programming talking about the different exhibits at the so-called Great American Fair and doing some interviews with attendees, and all they ended up highlighting was the fact that the place was mostly empty.
