Trump blasts Meloni again as feud intensifies

The feud between US President Donald Trump and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni is intensifying. ​It began when Mr Trump revealed he took pictures with Ms Meloni at the G7 only after she "begged" for a photo. ​Italy's prime minister has denied the claims, instead telling Trump to focus on his own popularity. ​In a post to Truth Social, Mr Trump said: ​“After spending trillions of dollars on NATO, Italy, and its prime minister, wouldn’t even think of becoming involved with the Islamic Republic of Iran and their very serious nuclear threat. For decades, we defend them but, when tested, they are not there to defend us, and the rest of the world. Not good!”
