Seychella Beach Society returns with Love Island-inspired beach experience

KINGSTON, Jamaica — After drawing more than 1,500 patrons to its debut earlier this year, Seychella Beach Society is set to return on August 15 with a new theme inspired by the hit reality television series Love Island.The event will be staged at East Beach in St Mary under the theme, The Beach Becomes The Villa, promising an immersive experience featuring themed activations, entertainment and lifestyle offerings.According to organisers, the event's success was largely unexpected. Seychella Beach Society was initially conceived as an invitation-only beach gathering for ambassadors and close friends during a quiet weekend in February, with no extensive marketing campaign or long-term strategy behind it.However, interest in the event spread rapidly through word of mouth and social media, transforming what was intended to be a small gathering into a full-scale experience in less than a week. The inaugural staging eventually attracted more than 1,500 patrons and became one of the season's most talked-about beach events.The first staging was never part of a grand strategy, said Jhe’Vonté Webster, chief executive officer of Civica Society. It was simply about bringing people together in a beautiful setting. The response showed us there was an appetite for something different, something that felt organic, elevated, and community-driven.Produced by the team behind Scream, the Caribbean's largest Halloween event, Seychella Beach Society is now looking to build on that momentum with a larger vision for 2026.Guests can expect an immersive experience inspired by the globally popular Love Island franchise, complete with curated entertainment, lifestyle activations and the signature atmosphere that organisers say defined the event's first outing.We've already established Scream as one of the premier events in the Caribbean and perfected the execution behind that experience, PhillipMorrison, chief financial officer of Civica Society, added.
