'Even stranger': Trump spills on call with Lindsey Graham held 'minutes before' incident

President Donald Trump revealed Sunday that he had a phone call with Sen. Lindsey Graham just moments before the Republican senator's sudden and fatal illness struck. Trump shared with NBC News’ “Meet the Press details about his conversation with Graham (R-SC) in what he theorized could have been “his last call.”“So what makes it even stranger is that I got a call last night sometime in the early evening and [Graham] called and said 'we're all set for the SAVE America Act,' – he was pushing the SAVE America Act like crazy,” Trump said, referring to his controversial voter ID bill the SAVE Act.“He said he just landed from Ukraine – I said, 'that's a long trip to make!' He sounded a little tired, but perfect – but a little bit tired. He had a right to be, he was a worker, he was really a worker. But he sounded great, actually. But he actually said he was tired.”Trump also revealed that he had potentially planned to meet with Graham in person on Sunday regarding the SAVE Act, which has stalled in the Senate to Trump's frustration.“He wanted to pass the SAVE America Act, and I said, 'we're gonna get it done Lindsey, I'll see you soon,' we thought maybe we might even meet today,” Trump continued. “And then that was it. It couldn't have been much longer, it could have been his last call, I don't know exactly. I got a message about 1 a.m. from one of the people in his office that he'd passed away.”Trump went on to theorize that his call with Graham could have been held just “minutes before” his illness incapacitated him.Graham’s office announced Saturday night that the senator had died of a “brief and sudden illness,” and further reporting revealed that he may have suffered from cardiac arrest, though an official cause of death has yet to be released.

Donald Trump reveals tragic final phone call with Lindsey Graham before shock death

US President Donald Trump has recounted his final conversation with former US Senator Lindsey Graham moments before his death. President Trump recalled his final call with Graham, whom he described as “family”, with NBC News’ ‘Meet the Press’ anchor Kirsten Welker. During the interview, Welker asked the president if he knew any further details about Graham’s death or if he had said anything during their call. “He said he’s a little tired. It was a long trip, you know, many hours. And he had just gotten back. It must have been right after that because I understand the police, or whoever it is, came there at about 7:30 or 8:00 in the evening, something like that,” Trump said. “So somebody notified them. But no, he felt okay… [On the call] he said, ‘You know, I feel good. But I’m tired.’ He was fine. I knew him well. He would let you know if he wasn’t feeling well.”

Petty Little Man

You’d think that was written by one of his tween grandchildren, but no. That was a real post by a 79-year-old man. Seriously. He’s still pouting: Donald Trump seemed to be getting slightly antsy on Friday night, amid the way too much attention being paid to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s massive wedding bash in Manhattan. So the White House took decisive action. Just 10 minutes after several digital pink signs lit up outside Madison Square Garden to declare Swift and Kelce as “JUSTT MARRIED” the White House took a moment to co-opt the newlyweds’ announcement. At 8:04 p.m., the official White House account on X shared a post in which they boldly replaced the couple’s happy announcement with an altered AI declaration: “DONALD TRUMP IS YOUR PRESIDENT.” The post was captioned: “IT’S HAPPENED!!,” which most of the public is acutely aware of. Nothing in this world can happen that he isn’t the center of.

A nice and humorous response from Andy Burnham

One of the many criticisms of Sir Keir Starmer was that he just couldn’t human/humour, he could send a glass eye to sleep. Andy Burnham doesn’t have that problem, but this alone won’t win him an election but it is a quiver to have in your bow. TSE Site notice – I am currently on holiday until the end of July
