‘Donald Trump buffalo’ SAVED from Eid slaughter after Bangladesh steps in

The Donald Trump buffalo has been saved from being sacrificed for Eid after an extraordinary intervention from the Bangladeshi Government. TRENDING Stories Videos Your Say Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed has ordered the buffalo be spared, the buyer refunded, and the animal moved to a national zoo in Dhaka.A ministry official said: At the last moment, the decision was taken to spare the buffalo from sacrifice due to security concerns and the unusual level of public interest.After the buffalo was bid farewell from the farm with a red carpet, colored smoke, and royal attire, a police officer arrived at the home of the man who bought it.The officer - who was not named - told Bangladesh's Prothom Alo the order came from above that the buffalo must not be sacrificed.They asked us to take it to the police station for now, the officer added.The buffalo will next be brought to the Bangladesh National Zoo in Dhaka.Curator of the zoo, Dr Atiqur Rahman, said preparations had already been made for the animal's arrival.He said: Arrangements have been made to spray disinfectant at the main gate and keep it in a large shed. The buffalo will be kept in quarantine for two weeks.
