Al-Qasabi stresses strengthening Gulf integration during GCC commerce ministers’ meeting
RIYADH — Minister of Commerce and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Saudi General Authority of Foreign Trade Majid Al-Qasabi emphasized the importance of strengthening GCC integration through the strategic projects discussed by the meeting of the GCC Commercial Cooperation Committee. He said the projects are intended to address challenges affecting the smooth flow of supply chains. Al-Qasabi made the remarks while attending the 71st extraordinary meeting of the GCC Commercial Cooperation Committee, held virtually on Sunday. The meeting was also attended by GCC Secretary General Jasem Albudaiwi and the ministers of commerce and industry from other GCC member states. The ministers reviewed the decisions of the 19th consultative meeting of the leaders of the GCC member states. They also reviewed the steps taken by the GCC General Secretariat to prepare a study aimed at further enhancing Gulf integration in strategic sectors.
