Diplomats from the Baltic states on Friday strongly rejected disinformation efforts of the Russian Foreign Ministry in Moscow.

The Central Election Commission (CVK) decided on Thursday to remove Jurijs Jesipenko from the list of candidates for the 15th Saeima election in the Rīga electoral district submitted by the political party alliance “Harmony Centre,” the CVK told the LETA news agency.

The government of Prime Minister Andris Kulbergs (United List) has fully completed three of a total of 61 priority tasks within a month, he announced at a press conference after a meeting to discuss the government's actions so far.

Rīga mayor Viesturs Kleinbergs (Progressives) defeated an attempt to force his resignation on Wednesday.

In highly unoriginal comments, Russian Foreign Ministry officials have said that the Baltic states are playing with fire by opening up their territory for hostile actions against Russia.
