Lego Sagrada Família (12,060 Pieces) 800 | Releases November 1, 2026 The Sagrada Família is the largest Catholic church in the world. Located in Barcelona, Spain, the mammoth structure was designed by Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí. It is still unfinished today--when Gaudí passed away in 1926, less than a quarter of the structure was complete--but thanks to this Lego set, you can rewrite history and complete it yourself. In a nod to Gaudí's process, this build starts with the Apse with Crypt, the Nativity façade, which is the only part he completed during his lifetime. From there, you build the naves and the Western Sacristy. Once they are done, you'll finish off the build with the Eastern Sacristy and the Glory façade. A small nameplate at the base is the build's finishing touch. Sagrada Família is the most complex set Lego has ever made, containing 12,060 pieces and measuring 24 inches high, 18.5 inches wide, and 15 inches deep. Lego recommends it for builders aged 18 and up, as it's obviously a highly advanced build. Preorder at Lego Store Sagrada Família was designed by Rok Zgalin Kobe, the Lego architecture designer known for his work on now-retired sets such as the Colosseum and the Taj Mahal, as well as the in-stock Eiffel Tower. Lego chose to release Sagrada Família to commemorate the centennial year of Antoni Gaudí’s passing. We felt an immense responsibility to do justice to the Sagrada Família through this design, Kobe said in a press release. Our goal was to honour Gaudí’s vision with the utmost respect, capturing the rhythm of the basilica’s construction, its extraordinary complexity and ambition, and translating that into an immersive building experience. This is not only the largest Lego set ever, but a model of one of the most ambitious architectural works in the world. Balancing scale and precision, while remaining faithful to a living monument that has been evolving for more than a century, was a unique design challenge--and one we’re incredibly proud of. While Sagrada Família now holds the honor of being Lego's largest set, there are several others to choose from if you enjoy complex builds, such as the newly released Minas Tirith set from Lord of the Rings. At 8,278 pieces, it still offers plenty of challenge and comes with minifigures as well, including Arwen, Faramir, Gandalf the White, and more. We've listed more options for ambitious builders below, which are all available now at the Lego Store.
