Treinverkeer DB in heel Duitsland ligt plat door storing
In heel Duitsland is het treinverkeer van Deutsche Bahn (DB) stilgelegd vanwege een storing in het communicatiesysteem GSM-R. De Duitse spoorwegmaatschappij zegt dat alle treinen naar het station zijn teruggeroepen. De storing werd om 22.30 uur gemeld door DB. De oorzaak van de problemen is onbekend. Volgens de spoorwegmaatschappij zijn technici bezig om de storing zo snel mogelijk op te lossen. We proberen de treinen nu de stations in te krijgen, zodat passagiers kunnen uitstappen, vertelt DB-topvrouw Evelyn Palla aan de Duitse krant Bild. En daarna moeten we het probleem oplossen dat we nu nog niet kennen. Systeem GSM-R is het systeem waarmee machinist en verkeersleiding kunnen communiceren. Ook wordt infrastructuur zoals wissels ermee in de gaten gehouden en stuurt het de borden met reisinformatie op de perrons aan. Ook in Nederland wordt GSM-R gebruikt.
