[Photo] The President spoke on the international situation and the external threats facing Rus [...]
The President spoke on the international situation and the external threats facing Russia We see that whereas previously NATO countries limited themselves to supporting the Kiev regime, which came to power illegally through an armed coup, now the West is openly saying it is getting ready for war against us and is increasing its military and offensive spending. To justify the spending and the radical militarisation of their states, NATO and EU leaders are, as before, using false claims about an alleged military threat posed by Russia. The modus operandi of the pseudo-democratic West is very simple: first, they create threats to our country, forcing us to take the measures necessary for our defence and security. They then immediately accuse us of every possible wrongdoing in order to justify continuing their aggressive policies and actions against Russia. <...>I emphasise that Russia consistently promotes equal and indivisible security for all. We are convinced that this can only be achieved through the creation of a multipolar system of international relations that reliably guarantees the military security of every state. At the same time, we remain ready to respond promptly and appropriately to any threat, be it external or internal.

Trump’s ‘Peace President’ BS Blown Up by People He Promised to Save
Photo Illustration by Victoria Sunday/The Daily Beast/Getty ImagesDonald Trump’s boasts of being the “Peace President” have been blown apart by some of the very people he pledged to save from war.Trump’s much-derided memorandum of understanding with Iran makes for the ninth conflict he claims to have ended as president—but when you spend time in one of the places he was supposed to come to the rescue of, it’s clear that those boasts are worthless.Amma, a teenager who has never been able to visit her homeland in the Western Sahara after her family’s life there was shattered by decades of war, says Trump has reduced her people’s fate to a bargaining chip. She withheld her surname to address the president directly from a refugee camp in Algeria. “We have names, dreams, and mothers dying without medicine after U.S. funding cuts in 2025,” she says. “We are human beings, not a deal. Do not forget that.”Read more at The Daily Beast.

'Don't touch Meloni': European right orders Trump to back off his own ally
The European right is staking out hard boundaries with President Donald Trump, as his few allies on the continent become targets of his ridicule and hostility.According to Politico, Belgian Defense Minister Theo Francken, a member of the right-wing New Flemish Alliance party, stated that while Europeans should work with Trump on a lot of things because they need to keep America on board, one thing they should not tolerate is his escalating attacks against Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.“Of course we need him as an ally, but don't touch Meloni. She's the queen of center-right in Europe. She's the alpha. Leave her alone,” said Francken. “I love her, she's conservative, she is totally on the same line ... and then you're going to have a fight on what? On a picture!”Francken is referring to the recent spat in which Trump enraged Meloni, a member of a far-right Italian party who has broadly worked with him on many issues, by an awkward meeting between the two leaders at the June G7 summit in Evian, France, after which Trump said Meloni had 'begged' him for a photo — something the Italian leader insisted was not true.Trump escalated things on Sunday by posting an image of Meloni looking up at him with a huge smile, and the caption, RESTRAINING ORDER NEEDED.Trump has already brought U.S.-European relations to a low point thanks to his incessant fixation on forcing Denmark to sell or hand over the territory of Greenland, as well as his step back from longstanding U.S. commitments to aid Ukraine against the invasion of Russia.

Furious Donald Declares War On Lawn Vandals
Donald J. Trump's obsession with the reflecting pool has taken another turn on Truth Social. Now, wants grass justice, damnit, and he somehow has tied it to James Comey because of fucking course. Trump sounded the alarm: of all the rebuilt monuments and fountains, the Reflecting Pool alone got hit — a 300-foot gash, mystery chemicals in the water, and a massive '8647' chemically carved into the new grass (clearly a James Comey plot). Grass Justice will be swift: 10 years in prison, fully enforced, ASAP. Priorities secured. Of the MANY Statues and Fountains that we rebuilt, renovated, cleaned, and fixed, the only one that was Vandalized was the Reflecting Pool, which is being taken care of, ASAP! he insisted. It has been given a 300 foot long gash, chemicals have been illegally placed in the water, and the beautiful new grass field has been destroyed with a gigantic 86 47 chemically carved into it (Probably inspired by Dirty Cop, James Comey!). Please remember that there is a 10 year prison sentence for the destruction, or even the attempted destruction, of such things - Which will be fully enforced! he added. Thank you for your attention to this matter. President DJT Hey, at least he said please! read more

"Criminal Approach to Politics": Trump Ally Abelardo de la Espriella Wins Colombian Presidency
Right-wing Trump ally Abelardo de la Espriella has clinched a narrow victory in Sunday’s runoff presidential election in Colombia, defeating leftist Senator Iván Cepeda, an ally of current President Gustavo Petro. De la Espriella ran a fearmongering, “tough-on-crime” campaign, promising to build mega-prisons inspired by El Salvador’s authoritarian President Nayib Bukele, to bomb “narcoterrorist camps” and to abandon Petro’s peace efforts. His reported victory is also a win for U.S. President Donald Trump, whose administration is waging an intensifying “war on drugs” across Latin America, targeting left-wing leaders like Petro with false allegations and threats of military intervention. “De la Espriella clearly represents a criminal approach to politics: lying, propaganda, coordination and collusion with criminal narcotrafficking, restriction of rights, and money laundering,” says longtime Colombian activist Manuel Rozental. With his victory, says Rozental, “We expect to have military operations and a U.S. intervention within the country. We expect to have human rights abuses. We expect to have militarization. And it’s all for the extraction of resources and the link of drug trafficking to the U.S. government, U.S. interests and global mafia.”

Trump has strengthened Iran immeasurably with his misbegotten war. Check this out: The Islamic Republic estimates that charging for security, safety and environmental services in the strait would bring in 40 billion a year in revenue for states involved, according to officials familiar with the matter. The idea, if implemented, would bring Tehran cash flow and control that it didn’t command before the war. The regime is looking to models around the world, including the Dardanelles, the officials said, where Turkey charges ships a tax known as the gold franc for passage to and from the Aegean Sea through the international waterway. To get buy-in, Tehran is pitching the idea to the wider Middle East and as far afield as Beijing, according to Iranian officials. It wants its Persian Gulf neighbors to be part of the agreement and share the revenue, they said. “Everyone needs to know that management of the strait will never return to the way it was before,” said Iran’s chief negotiator, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, during a visit to Oman on Tuesday to discuss the proposed arrangements with its neighbor across the waterway. I’m sure Trump will find a way to spin this. Maybe he and his cult will use America’s growing bipartisan discontent with Israel’s policies and behaviors to miraculously turn Iran into an ally in their minds. But everyone should be wary of such a turn. Israel has acted abominably. But Iran is hardly better and Trump has strengthened the hardliners who cruelly repress their own

Misguided and Misunderstood: Trump’s Approach to U.S. Troops in Europe
For many observers, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth’s speech on the future of NATO, delivered in Brussels on June 18, 2026, constituted a perfect example of how the Trump administration is angrily abandoning the longstanding U.S. commitment to European security. The prevailing picture is that the administration is eager to shift the burden of Europe’s defense and is thus moving to withdraw U.S. forces from the continent, even though Europe is moving to do more militarily. Hegseth stated, “we’re doubling down on our effort to make NATO what it always was supposed to be, a balanced alliance with Europe in The post Misguided and Misunderstood: Trump’s Approach to U.S. Troops in Europe appeared first on War on the Rocks.

Trump wants to ditch his signature trade deal
Six years ago, President Donald Trump hailed his US-Mexico-Canada Agreement, or USMCA, as the “fairest, most balanced, and beneficial trade agreement we have ever signed.” Now, as the pact is up for review, Trump says he’s ready to abandon it. “I’m not looking to renew it,” Trump said last month. “We don’t need anything that Canada has. We don’t need anything that Mexico has, but they need everything that we have. They have to treat us better.” The USMCA, which replaced the North American Free Trade Agreement, facilitates roughly $2 trillion in annual trade among the three neighboring countries. All three countries are required to review the agreement every six years, and decide whether to renew it or make modifications. 0:00 White House announces it won't renew USMCA 0:17 Trump Oval Office statement 1:01 Audie Cornish's "Group Chat" Watch 24/7 live news with CNN Headlines: https://bit.ly/4eIvlTr #USMCA #Trump #News

America’s defense renaissance depends on manufacturers you’ve never heard of
We all know that Washington, D.C., has spent the past several years debating defense budgets, supply chain resilience, and industrial policy. Yet one of the most important lessons emerging from America’s renewed focus on national security is that military superiority is not built solely by billion-dollar weapons platforms, but upon thousands of highly specialized manufacturers []

US SC Rules Against Trump's Order Limiting Birthright Citizenship | Dawn News English
The US Supreme Court has rejected President Donald Trump's attempt to restrict birthright citizenship, dealing a major blow to one of his key immigration policies. In a 6-3 ruling, the court upheld a lower court decision blocking Trump's executive order, which sought to deny automatic US citizenship to children born in the country if neither parent was an American citizen or a legal permanent resident. Challengers argued the order violated the 14th Amendment of the US Constitution, which grants citizenship to people born in the United States and subject to its jurisdiction. #Trump #BirthrightCitizenship #SupremeCourt #USSupremeCourt #DonaldTrump ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dawn News English is your window into the latest news, insight, and features from South Asia and beyond. German, French MPs seek tougher action against Russia's shadow fleet
German and French lawmakers are set to call for tougher action against Russia's so-called shadow fleet, including stricter inspections and the detention of vessels found to be violating international rules, according to a draft document seen by dpa. The proposal is due to be adopted on Monday by the Franco-German Parliamentary Assembly. The initiative, backed by lawmakers from Germany's conservative bloc, the centre-left Social Democrats and the opposition Greens, also calls for increased diplomatic pressure on countries whose flags are used by vessels linked to the fleet. Russia uses the shadow fleet to circumvent sanctions imposed over its invasion of Ukraine, particularly restrictions on oil exports. According to the document, the shadow fleet represents not only a geopolitical challenge but also a significant security and environmental risk. Many of the vessels are old, poorly maintained and fail to meet international standards, it added. The document also said some ships had been used for sabotage or espionage purposes. Jürgen Hardt, foreign policy spokesman for German Chancellor Friedrich Merz's conservatives, said the Russian shadow fleet threatened both the effectiveness of sanctions and the security of Europe and its critical infrastructure, and called for a joint response. Anton Hofreiter, chair of the Bundestag's European Affairs Committee, said the fleet helped generate revenue for Moscow to finance its war against Ukraine and posed a security risk.
