Early Sunday morning, June 28, Russian forces attacked Ukraine’s capital, Kyiv, with ballistic missiles, injuring at least two people and sparking fires in the Darnytskyi district. Russian attack drones targeted the northern city of Chernihiv, where debris damaged a secondary school and injured two people. In the central-eastern Dnipropetrovsk region, Russian strikes hit gas stations and a sports school, resulting in two additional casualties.

Russian forces hit Kyiv again overnight into July 8, even as Ukraine’s military launched a fresh wave of attacks on Russia’s oil infrastructure.
