UAE weather: Slightly cooler weather, but brace for blowing dust

Dubai: Residents across the UAE can expect a slight dip in temperatures today, and generally fair weather, with sunny skies and light to moderate winds.Abu Dhabi is forecast to reach 39°C, while Dubai will see a high of 38°C today. Coastal areas of the UAE will see a range of 35°C to 40°C, while the mercury will drop further in mountainous areas of the country, with a temperature range of 32°C to 39°C.Although light to moderate southwesterly and northwesterly winds will prevail throughout the day, the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has warned that they may increase in speed, reaching up to 40km/h in certain areas. These stronger winds may cause blowing dust and reduced visibility in some exposed areas.Sea conditions will be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf, becoming rough at times in western waters. Looking ahead, fair conditions are expected to last all week long, with northwesterly winds continuing to stir up dust and sand at times.
