It aimed to launch implementation tracks for the new government system, activate services, operations and institutional support pathways, and map out services and processes in preparation for the deployment of Agentic AI models within a 90-day timeframe.Driving government transformationMohammad bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and Chairman of the Agentic AI Project Executive Committee, said the initiative reflects the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to accelerate AI adoption across all areas of government work.He noted that Agentic AI represents an advanced phase in the evolution of government operations, enabling faster task execution, higher productivity and improved data-driven decision-making.“The UAE is reinforcing its global leadership by developing flexible work models that harness the capabilities of Agentic AI,” he said.Enhancing efficiency and capabilitiesAl Gergawi added that the workshop aims to equip government teams with the skills needed to deploy AI tools effectively, supporting the UAE’s vision to build a more agile and future-ready government.Operations and institutional support trackMaryam bint Ahmed Al Hammadi, Minister of State and Secretary-General of the Cabinet, and Head of the Operations and Institutional Support Track, said the initiative focuses on transforming government operations by removing barriers and enhancing efficiency.She explained that work began by mapping operations across ministries and federal entities, identifying priority areas for AI transformation, and reviewing existing and upcoming applications to develop a comprehensive implementation plan.The workshop identified 10 key operational areas, including human resources, procurement and contracts, financial and administrative affairs, legislative affairs, internal audit, digital transformation, technical support, communication, and facilities management.Future government modelMohamed Rashid bin Taliah, Assistant Minister of Cabinet Affairs for Government Knowledge Exchange and Head of the Services Track, presented the future government work model, which enables entities to prioritise services and processes for AI implementation to maximise impact on individuals and businesses.He emphasised that government teams possess the expertise and innovative mindset required to successfully implement Agentic AI solutions.Implementation frameworkParticipants discussed criteria for selecting priority operations, including transaction volume, service complexity, number of beneficiaries and readiness for digital transformation.Each entity will select a specific service or operation for implementation within 90 days, following three phases: exploration, design and implementation planning.Throughout the three-month period, progress will be monitored regularly to ensure targets are achieved, support is provided, and selected services and operations are successfully launched within the specified timeframe.The initiative marks a significant step in advancing the UAE’s digital transformation agenda and strengthening its position as a global leader in innovative government practices.
