Mr Trump posted on Truth Social: “This is in retribution for yesterday’s bombing of ships by Iran. If it happens again, it will get much worse.” Mr Trump arrived in the United Kingdom after a visit to Iran, initially travelling on the old Air Force One before switching to the new aircraft for his return journey. Trump says ceasefire deal with Iran is over
US President Donald Trump says the ceasefire with Iran is over and Tehran should expect further strikes on Wednesday. He made the comments during an angry broadside at the Nato summit in Ankara. Overnight, the US launched strikes on more than 80 Iranian targets around the strait of Hormuz and revoked a temporary sanctions waiver for Tehran to export oil. The action followed Iranian attacks on three commercial vessels on Tuesday. Iran says eight members of its military were killed, and that, in response, it hit US military sites in Bahrain and Kuwait. Jon Brain reports.
