According to the website Downdetector, the issue started to peak at about 6:30am when more than 7,500 Telstra users were unable to access the internet or make phone calls. The outage has affected some transport lines, particularly in Melbourne and New South Wales. Despite the outage, customers are still able to call Triple Zero and will be transferred to another network like Optus or Vodafone.
