This gets you impressive noise cancellation abilities (said to be 1.5x better than the old AirPods Max), adaptive audio that automatically modifies noise cancellation based on ambient sound, and personalized spatial audio for advanced fine-tuning of your listening experience. If you travel frequently, you'll also appreciate the Live Translation feature. By pressing a button on the headphones, you can automatically translate what someone is saying in real-time. The biggest knock on the AirPods Max 2 is that they don't fold, which can make them more cumbersome to travel with than some of the competition. Battery life is also mediocre at up to 20 hours.
