Celtics Expected To Trade Jaylen Brown This Offseason
The Boston Celtics are currently working on Jaylen Brown trade scenarios with a number of teams after being unable to find a workable scenario with the Milwaukee Bucks for Giannis Antetokounmpo earlier this week. The expectation around the NBA is that Brown will eventually get traded as the Celtics concluded at the end of their season that they needed to reconfigure their roster. He's going to get traded, said Brian Windhorst on Thursday's edition of Unsportsmanlike on ESPN. Windhorst explained that while Brad Stevens said many things about Brown during his press conference this week, but never said that the Celtics won't trade him. He obviously told him that there was a good chance they're going to trade him, added Windhorst. It's not a guarantee that they're going to find a deal that they like that's going to improve the team, but I think they are intending to trade him. ESPN's Shams Charania has suggested that a Brown trade could drag into July. Brown is also eligible for a two-year, 141.8 million contract extension in July that would presumable be a condition of any deal with a new team.
