2 Palestinians killed in Israeli airstrike in southern Gaza
Two Palestinians, including a child, were killed on Saturday in an Israeli airstrike that targeted two tents sheltering displaced people in the al-Mawasi area, west of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip, according to Palestinian medical sources, reported Xinhua. Medical sources at Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Younis told Xinhua that the hospital received two bodies, one of which was a 15-year-old girl. The sources added that the hospital also received seven wounded as a result of the Israeli airstrike. The Israeli military has not yet commented on the incident. Meanwhile, Gaza-based health authorities reported that hospitals in the Gaza Strip received eight bodies and 20 wounded people in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of deaths since the ceasefire took effect on Oct. 10, 2025, to 1,038, with 3,329 wounded. The authorities added in their daily report that the total number of deaths since Oct. 7, 2023, has risen to 73,051, with 173,437 injured.
