I wrote this on Father’s Day in 2010. It is a post that struck a chord with at least a few readers. In the last years of his life he recited for me the things for which he was most grateful.

Lost on Foot: Friends WALK 40 Miles across Orange County from Huntington Beach to Disneyland
In 1982, the band Missing Persons released their hit single "Walking in LA," an ode to the City of Angels and its dependence on automobiles. 45 years later, the adage continues to define the city for most residents, except for two: Tucker O'Neill and Wes Brumbaugh. Over the past three years, the "Lost on Foot" duo has explored the city of Los Angeles, undertaking extensive 40-mile treks through our un-walkable city. Most recently, the pair ventured into Orange County for another adventure, 40 miles in just under 17 hours, all on foot. Tucker and Wes join Sandra Mitchell and Micah Ohlman in studio to discuss their adventures, preparation, and the road ahead, which they'll probably take while walking. July 6, 2026.
