Walker Kessler is going from the Jazz to the Lakers, will get a 4-year deal, AP source says
Walker Kessler is being traded by the Utah Jazz to the Los Angeles Lakers, who will have the center under contract for the next four seasons and for a total of about 130 million, a person with knowledge of the agreement said Wednesday. The Jazz are getting two first-round draft picks and two first-round pick swaps out of the deal, according to the person who spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because the move is a sign-and-trade and has yet to receive the needed league approvals. Acquiring Kessler is the first big move for the Lakers in their post-LeBron James era, after the NBA's all-time leading scorer said Tuesday that he was leaving the team and would spend this coming season elsewhere.

Nets, Lakers Have Interest In Signing Mitchell Robinson
The Brooklyn Nets are looking for a center in the wake of agreeing to trade Nic Claxton to the Chicago Bulls. That search might need the Nets to looking only crosstown at Mitchell Robinson of the New York Knicks. Robinson is set to become an unrestricted free agent on July 1. Knicks owner James Dolan has publicly said that his team will do what they need to do to avoid going into the second apron. With very little room under the second apron at present, that could lead to Robinson being out of the plans in New York. Brooklyn seems intent upon putting together a competitive team for next season. The Nets do not have their own first-round pick, as that pick is owned by the Houston Rockets. The Los Angeles Lakers are also expected to have interest in signing Robinson. The Lakers are looking for a lob-catching, rim protector to put with Luka Doncic and a soon-to-be-re-signed Austin Reaves. Both the Nets and Lakers could be cap space teams this summer. That would give them the ability to not only beat offers from the apron-conscious Knicks, but also teams that may be limited to offering Robinson the 15 million Non-Taxpayer Mid-Level Exception.
