Coal Ministry Invites Applications Under Rs 37,500 Crore Coal Gasification Scheme New Delhi, Jul 9 (KNN) The Ministry of Coal has invited applications under the Rs 37,500 crore Scheme for Promotion of Surface Coal/Lignite Gasification Projects. The scheme, approved on May 13, 2026, is aimed at promoting surface coal and lignite gasification projects. The Scheme Guidelines were issued on June 25, 2026, followed by the publication of the Request for Proposal (RFP) on July 7, inviting eligible entities to submit proposals. The Ministry will hold a Pre-Application Conference on July 20 to provide clarifications on the scheme and the application process. The last date for submission of applications is September 7, 2026.
