Coal India, UPRVUNL Form Joint Venture to Develop Renewable Energy Projects in Uttar Pradesh New Delhi, Jul 6 (KNN) Coal India Limited (CIL) has signed a joint venture agreement with Uttar Pradesh Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited (UPRVUNL) to develop renewable energy projects across Uttar Pradesh. Under the agreement, the two companies will establish a joint venture company with Coal India holding a 51 per cent equity stake and UPRVUNL 49 per cent, according to ET. The joint venture will develop, finance, construct, operate and maintain renewable energy projects, including ground-mounted and floating solar plants, rooftop solar installations, wind energy projects and pumped storage facilities. The projects are aimed at expanding Uttar Pradesh's renewable energy capacity and meeting the state's growing electricity demand through cleaner sources of power. The agreement was signed in Lucknow in the presence of Mayur Maheshwari, Asheesh Kumar and senior officials from both organisations and Invest UP. (KNN Bureau)
