Oververhitting in kabelgoot: geen treinen tussen Rotterdam en het zuiden
Door oververhitting in een kabelgoot rijden er geen treinen van het station Rotterdam Stadion richting het zuiden van het land. De kabels zijn gaan smeulen en daardoor werken wissels en seinen niet, zegt ProRail. De spoorbeheerder verwacht dat de vervanging van de 299 kabels in de goot tot na het einde van de dienstregeling zal duren. Dat betekent dat er pas morgenochtend weer treinen vanuit Rotterdam naar steden als Dordrecht en Breda kunnen rijden. Dat geldt ook voor de Eurostar naar Brussel. Door de storing kwamen vijf treinen stil te staan. Omdat er wel spanning op bovenleiding staat, konden deze treinen op eigen kracht verder. De oorzaak van de oververhitting is nog niet bekend. ProRail en een aannemer doen daar onderzoek naar.
