Trump during a press conference spoke about violence in Chicago, calling the city a "shooting field." He said, "Chicago, which is effectively a shooting field right now, if the Governor would call me, Governor Pritzker... I would solve Chicago’s problem in 34 months and you’d have a virtually crime-free city."

The toll included a Friday drive-by in the Princeton Park area, where two gunmen shot from a moving car and struck more than a dozen people.
