Overnight attack: Russia launches 12 missiles, 121 drones at Ukraine
Four people, including a child, have died and 17 others have been injured following a Russian strike on Ukraine. According to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, 12 missiles and 121 drones were launched at Ukraine overnight. While the majority were intercepted, six ballistic missiles reached their intended targets. Additionally, two aerial glide bombs hit a public transport stop in the Sumy region, damaging multiple buses, cars, and nearby buildings.

Ukraine receives €3.9b under EU defense support program
Ukraine has received 3.9 billion euros from the European Union (EU) as the first loan under a defense support program, the country's finance ministry said Tuesday, reported Xinhua. The financing is part of the initial tranche of the Ukraine Support Loan worth 5.01 billion euros, the ministry said in a statement. These funds will be directed to what is critically important for our resilience today: strengthening Ukrainian drone production, the defense industry, and meeting the needs of the Defense Forces, said Ukrainian Finance Minister Sergii Marchenko. In 2026, Kiev expects to receive 45 billion euros under the Ukraine Support Loan, including 28.3 billion euros for defense.
