Petty Little Man

You’d think that was written by one of his tween grandchildren, but no. That was a real post by a 79-year-old man. Seriously. He’s still pouting: Donald Trump seemed to be getting slightly antsy on Friday night, amid the way too much attention being paid to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s massive wedding bash in Manhattan. So the White House took decisive action. Just 10 minutes after several digital pink signs lit up outside Madison Square Garden to declare Swift and Kelce as “JUSTT MARRIED” the White House took a moment to co-opt the newlyweds’ announcement. At 8:04 p.m., the official White House account on X shared a post in which they boldly replaced the couple’s happy announcement with an altered AI declaration: “DONALD TRUMP IS YOUR PRESIDENT.” The post was captioned: “IT’S HAPPENED!!,” which most of the public is acutely aware of. Nothing in this world can happen that he isn’t the center of.

CNN Data Guru Exposes Trump’s Delusion Hurting Republicans

CNNCNN’s resident numbers wizard has cast President Donald Trump’s thoroughly debunked claims of election rigging in 2020 as a losing strategy ahead of the November midterms.“It is a losing message!” data guru Harry Enten, 38, told network viewers Monday, framing the divide it casts among the voting public as near-total. “The Republican Party is in one camp all the way over here on the right, and the rest of the American public is in the same camp.”The claim still sells with the base, which is why, Enten went on, Republicans keep making it. About 60 percent of GOP voters called the 2020 contest stolen, a share that has since climbed to 63 percent, even though “there is no proof of that whatsoever!” He was blunter about the conviction itself, scoffing that Republicans “just believe this garbage.”Read more at The Daily Beast.

Kevin McCarthy Kills Irony While Discussing Platner Rape Accusation

As most people may have read by now, Politico had some explosive reporting on US Senate candidate for Maine, Graham Platner, where a woman he dated in 2021 accused him of rape. Platner denies the accusation but is being pressured to drop out of the race, and from the video statement coming from the campaign, it looks like that very well may be the case. July 13 is the deadline for Platner to withdraw and be replaced. If he drops out by then, Maine's Democratic Party has until July 27 to name a replacement. This was a topic of discussion on this Monday's Jesse Watters Primetime on Fox, and guest host Charlie Hurt asked former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy for his thoughts on the matter, and McCarthy proceeded to kill irony in the process. HURT: All right, so they manage to take him out, let's just say, in the next day or two. Then they replace him. They rig their own primary. MCCARTHY: With no primary, no choice. It sounds a lot like Biden, right? So they're going to pivot and go to Kamala Harris? Because I think had they had a primary, Kamala Harris would not have won. So the person they select now probably wouldn't be able to win a primary, and it gives the people in Maine a very short amount of time to really learn who they are.read more
