Judge denies Charlie Kirk’s alleged assassin’s attempt to have the death penalty removed

Tyler Robinson’s lawyer argued the prosecution made prejudicial statements about the case before the trial began. Utah Judge Tony Graf found prosecutor Christopher Ballard in contempt of court for his comments to the media. However, he rejected a suggestion the punishment should include removing the death penalty as a possible outcome of the trial, calling it “grossly disproportionate” to the alleged misconduct.
