Evrópusambandið og Kristrún svara Trump
Donald Trump, forseti Bandaríkjanna, gagnrýndi bandamenn sína í NATO harðlega á leiðtogafundi í Ankara í dag, þar sem eftirmálar stríðs hans við Íran hótuðu að varpa skugga á mikilvægan fund. Þegar spennan náði hámarki eftir átök milli bandarískra og íranskra hersveita í nótt, lýsti Trump því yfir að vopnahléð í Íran væri úti sögu“ og beindi síðan spjótum sínum að...

Three-time Trump Voter 'Insulted' By Congressional Bid Of Sean Duffy's Son-in-law
A three-time Trump voter says it's insulting that Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy's son-in-law is even running for Congress. Meg Ellefson, a Wisconsin podcaster and former drive-time radio host, has lived in the district for 20 years and voted for President Donald Trump three times. Now she's one of the loudest Republican voices against his chosen candidate. Republican candidate Michael Alfonso, 26, is running in the Aug. 11 Republican primary for Wisconsin's 7th Congressional District — Duffy's old seat. I think it's insulting to people in the 7th that someone who lacks qualifications and any life experiences and any kind of demonstrable leadership skills or experience is even being touted as a candidate, Ellefson told the Associated Press. It's super aggravating to me. Duffy transferred 1 million from his old congressional account to Alfonso's super PAC and lobbied Trump to endorse him. [Duffy] is exploiting his Cabinet position and fame to influence an election and hand one of the nation's highest offices to his unqualified, 26-year-old son-in-law, Ellefson told Axios. She said she's utterly disgusted by this blatant manipulation of voters. read more

Young Republicans Angrily Turn on Trump
ANDREW CABALLERO-REYNOLDS/AFP via Getty ImagesThe young men who powered Trump’s 2024 election victory are turning on him, according to the head of an organization built on speaking to younger voters. Charlie Sabgir, director of the Young Men Research Project, a nonprofit tracking political and social trends among young men, spent time speaking to young Trump supporters across the country and found a consistent theme. His respondents complain that the president is abandoning the “America First” agenda that drew them to him in the first place. Sabgir wrote up his findings for The Atlantic, asserting that the Iran war is the sharpest grievance among the important voter bloc. Riley Wilson, a member of the Turning Point USA chapter at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, told Sabgir he cast his first presidential vote for Trump in part because the president had promised “no new wars.” Read more at The Daily Beast.
