Dubai: Tourist Police honour driver for his honesty in returning AED 10,000 to a tourist

The Tourist Police Department of the General Department of Criminal Investigation in Dubai Police honoured a taxi driver in recognition of his honesty, integrity, and promptness in going to Dubai International Airport to hand over AED 10,000 to a tourist before his flight left from the airport.Lieutenant Colonel Mohammed Abdul Rahman, Director of the Tourist Police Department, in the presence of Captain Ahmed Mohammed Al Muhairi, Head of the Tourist Happiness Section in the Tourist Police Department, honoured the driver Geoffrey Ezra Omos, praising his honesty and eagerness to quickly hand over the money to the tourist before his trip back to his home country.The tourist took a taxi to the airport to leave, and in his haste to catch the flight, he forgot a small bag in the car containing the money and some belongings. He quickly contacted the tourist police department to try to help him recover the bag and the money before his flight's departure time.Immediately, the tourist police took action, identified the driver, and contacted him. He quickly replied that the bag was indeed in the car and contained the money. He then rushed back to the airport and handed the money over to the tourist police, who in turn handed it over to the tourist. The tourist praised the level of honesty in the Emirate of Dubai.
