Dubai Police marks 70 years of security, innovation and global leadership

Dubai: Dubai Police has marked its 70th anniversary, with its Commander-in-Chief, His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, highlighting the force’s evolution into a global model in modern policing, innovation and security excellence.In a statement issued on the occasion, His Excellency said: “Today, we celebrate the seventieth anniversary of the founding of the Dubai Police General Command — 70 years with an ambitious vision and a firm will that established an advanced security system, making security and stability a fundamental pillar of the development and prosperity journey in the Emirate of Dubai and the United Arab Emirates. Throughout this extended journey, Dubai Police has been, and continues to be, a key partner in shaping the future, a global model in modern policing, and a pioneering national institution in innovation, anticipating changes and dealing with challenges efficiently and competently.”His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri added, “During its journey spanning seven decades, Dubai Police has gone through seven pivotal stages that have shaped its institutional development, starting with the founding stage that established the foundations of modern security work, then the catching-up stage in which it kept pace with the best global police practices, followed by the pioneering stage that established its position as a proactive institution in performance and services, then the excellence stage that strengthened its presence in quality and institutional efficiency indicators.
