Body of man in his 40s discovered in Norfolk Broads river

The body of a man has been discovered in the River Yare in the Norfolk Broads.Officers were called after reports of a concern for the safety of a man in the water on a stretch of the river near Ferry Road, Surlingham at 2.33pm.Norfolk Police said emergency services including fire, ambulance, air ambulance and coastguard attended before a search and rescue operation got under way.Specialist equipment, including sonar, and a dive team were at the incident. A police cordon is still currently in place.The death is being treated as unexplained but not believed to be suspicious. A file is being prepared for the coroner.
