Barnaby Joyce’s policy slip-up a ‘wake-up call’ for One Nation voters

Former Queensland premier Campbell Newman reacts to One Nation MP Barnaby Joyce’s embarrassing blunder over home ownership policy. “For a pro who’s been around the traps for many years like Barnaby Joyce, well it’s pretty disappointing because they’re now being pitched as an alternative government,” Mr Newman told Sky News host Steve Price. “For people who really are taking their vote seriously, you want to vote for people who’ve got their act together, who has got real policies, who know what they want to do, and this was a real wake-up call for them. “For the good of Australia, you know, if they’re going to be a contender, then they’ve got to sort themselves out.”
