Myndir þú þora að fara upp þessar tröppur?
Á hinni afskekktu eyju St. Helena, sem er í sunnanverðu Atlantshafi, eru tröppur sem eru satt að segja ansi brattar. Þær eru 669 þrep og hallinn er 41 gráða. Það má því segja að þær séu nánast lóðréttar.Tröppurnar heita Jacob‘s Ladder og voru gerðar 1829 en þá voru þær einskonar brautarteinar þar sem hestar drógu þunga vagna upp á fjallstopinn yfir bænum Jamestown.Þegar teinarnir voru fjarlægðir voru tröppurnar skildar eftir og urðu síðan þekktasta kennileiti eyjunnar.
