Alex Thomas ready for new challenge at Dunbeholden FC

KINGSTON, Jamaica — Alex Thomas is chomping at the bit to get going at his new club, Dunbeholden FC, for the upcoming Jamaica Premier League season.Thomas ended last season as the assistant coach to Argentine Javier Ainstein at Waterhouse FC but parted ways after Ainstein resigned, and is now at Montego Bay United.Thomas, a former National Under-17 and Under-20 World Cup player, is one of the most promising young coaches around and it was not surprising that Dunbeholden snatched him up once he was available. The 43-year-old Thomas, who coached at Wolmer's Boys, Hydel High, Molynes United and even in Guyana with Slingerz FC, is ready for his next challenge.Feeling very elated to be appointed the head coach of Dunbeholden Football Club. My immediate plans centre on squad reinforcements through the summer transfer windows and preparing a competitive squad for the season, a mixture of youth and experienced players, Thomas told Observer Online. My objective is to reach the playoffs and take it from there. But it is a three-year plan, and we will take it in strides, he added.Dunbeholden finished ninth last season with 48 points and missed the playoffs. The St Catherine-based team won 13 of the 39 games played, drawing nine times and losing 17 games.

Several Teams Believe They Have Shot To Sign LeBron James Despite Cleveland 'Vibes'

LeBron James continues to be courted as a free agent, with no definitive timeline for when he'll make a decision. The vibes are now reportedly pointing towards James coming full circle and returning to the Cleveland Cavaliers. Rival teams have taken notice of James spending the summer in Akron, Ohio, as well as his recent reunion with 2016 Cavs teammates. Despite that, the Denver Nuggets, Golden State Warriors, Minnesota Timberwolves and Philadelphia 76ers all believe they have a shot at landing James for next season. The Nuggets, Warriors, Wolves and Sixers all believe they have made a compelling pitch to the NBA's all-time leading scorer for him to sign on for 2026-27.
