Trump agrees to Iran’s request to continue talks, but ceasefire is over
US President Donald Trump has announced new talks with Iran while stating the ceasefire is officially over. The Islamic Republic of Iran has asked us to continue talks. We have agreed to do so, but the United States has stated to them, in no uncertain terms, that the Cease Fire is over,” Mr Trump posted on Truth Social. The US and Iran have traded strikes this week after Tehran hit ships in the Strait of Hormuz.
