Workers fined for theft of electric scooters from Kingston warehouse
KINGSTON, Jamaica – Two workers charged in connection with the theft of two electric scooters from a warehouse at the Kingston port were each fined 100,000 or 30 days imprisonment on Tuesday.The men, 30-year-old Omarie Biggs and Taja Campbell, were both charged with simple larceny.The men pleaded guilty to the charges at the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court.It is alleged that on February 19, 2026, the men were caught on surveillance footage stealing two black electric scooters and a travel bag containing perishable goods, valued at 100,000, at the location.Biggs was reportedly employed by Kingston Wharves, while Campbell worked for an independent contractor.
