Apple will buy more US-made components from Broadcom
Apple has agreed to buy up to 30 billion-worth of additional chips and other wireless components from Broadcom over the next few years. The new agreement could lead to Broadcom making up to 15 billion more chips in the US, and enable it to modernize its manufacturing facilities in Fort Collins, Colorado, where it will produce radio frequency components including thin-film bulk acoustic resonator (FBAR) filters and advanced wireless connectivity technologies, Apple said. The deal is part of Apple’s effort to create an end-to-end supply chain in the US. It has already been exploring options that could wean it off Chinese-made chips. Last year it launched its American Manufacturing Program (AMP) to accelerate manufacturing in the US, committing to “invest 600 billion in the US economy over four years” in support of local manufacturing and jobs. US companies have been keen to source chips manufactured in the US to eliminate supply-chain uncertainty in the face of President Trump’s ever-changing tariff policies. “We’re grateful to the president and his administration for supporting important projects like this one,” Apple CEO Tim Cook said in a news release, without specifying the nature of the Trump administration’s support for such deals. He said the components Broadcom makes in Fort Collins were essential to Apple’s products.

Critics astounded as Trump injects 'absolute total chaos' into midterms: 'Here we go'
Critics of President Donald Trump were astounded by his latest move to sway the 2026 midterm elections. On Thursday, reports indicated that Trump fired the three remaining members of the Election Assistance Commission, an independent agency that is responsible for helping states administer elections. The move occurred after the Supreme Court ruled that the president has the power to remove officers of certain independent agencies. It also happened just about 100 days away from the midterm election. The move sparked a firestorm of criticism online. Absolute total chaos. Trump wants to ditch his signature trade deal
Six years ago, President Donald Trump hailed his US-Mexico-Canada Agreement, or USMCA, as the “fairest, most balanced, and beneficial trade agreement we have ever signed.” Now, as the pact is up for review, Trump says he’s ready to abandon it. “I’m not looking to renew it,” Trump said last month. “We don’t need anything that Canada has. We don’t need anything that Mexico has, but they need everything that we have. They have to treat us better.” The USMCA, which replaced the North American Free Trade Agreement, facilitates roughly $2 trillion in annual trade among the three neighboring countries. All three countries are required to review the agreement every six years, and decide whether to renew it or make modifications. 0:00 White House announces it won't renew USMCA 0:17 Trump Oval Office statement 1:01 Audie Cornish's "Group Chat" Watch 24/7 live news with CNN Headlines: https://bit.ly/4eIvlTr #USMCA #Trump #News

Donald Trump Launches Personal Attack By Posting Faces Of Kindergarteners
President Donald Trump posted an unblurred video of more than a dozen Muslim kindergartners to Truth Social, exposing the children's faces while targeting them for their religion. The video showed students at Gateway Kindergarten in St. Paul, Minnesota, celebrating their graduation in caps, gowns, and hijabs. Trump posted it on Truth Social on Monday morning. Public school in St. Paul, Minnesota, the right-wing X account @EndWokeness wrote in a post that Trump then amplified — again showing the children's unblurred faces. Every girl is in a hijab... in kindergarten. In December, Trump called Somali immigrants garbage at a cabinet meeting and said their country stinks. He told reporters, I don't want them in our country, according to NPR. He later posted on Truth Social calling for Somalis to be sent back from where they came, NBC News reported. Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), a Somali American congresswoman whose district includes the largest Somali American population in the U.S., has warned that Trump's attacks have real consequences. read more

Political Prisoners
Trump and his cult have been wailing non-stop about the excessive sentences handed down to the January 6th insurrectionists who tried to stop the peaceful transfer of power. As we know, Trump pardoned all of them and has now promised them a big government payout for their trouble. None of them got sentences like this: Last July 4, activists set off fireworks at a detention center in Alvarado, Texas, and some of them vandalized cars, slashed tires, and broke a security camera. When a police officer arrived and drew his weapon, one person shot him in the shoulder from the woods. Five of the protesters were sentenced to 50 years in prison and one was sentenced to 70 for providing material support to terrorists. The person who shot at the police officer was sentenced to 100 years for attempted murder, according to the Texas Standard. I’m pretty sure that none of the people in that January 6th crowd who tried to beat Michael Fanone to death, literally giving him a heart attack, were sentenced to that many years. Now they want money from the taxpayers, and I feel fairly confident they will end up getting it one way or another. Trump and his henchmen say that this group was “antifa” but antifa doesn’t really exist as an organization, and these people all knew each other through a left-wing book club and a gun group. It’s so obviously tyrannical, especially in light of his tender mercies toward his MAGA cult that chanted
