KINGSTON, Jamaica -- A third victim of the explosion on South Camp Road earlier this week has been airlifted overseas, accompanied by his spouse, who vowed to remain steadfast throughout his recovery journey.Fabian Brown, an account manager at Beryllium Limited, was flown to receive specialised care in Atlanta, Georgia.Brown was one of four men injured in the explosion at a garage on South Camp Road in Kingston adjacent to the security company’s facility. As he was stretchered into an air ambulance at the Norman Manley International Airport on Friday, his spouse was by his side offering unwavering support. “I will be by his side right through, I am not going anywhere,” the woman, who identified herself as Myesha, said. She said Allen suffered severe burns in the incident, and noted that he was in a lot of pain when she visited him at a local hospital.“He was speaking, so that was a good sign, but he was in a lot of pain and the burns to the body is severe,” she said.Still, she expressed her appreciation to Guardsman Group, of which Berrylium is a subsidiary, for acting quickly to have the victims get the treatment needed.“Hats off to the Guardsman team,” Myesha said. “I was impressed at how fast they responded I am very appreciative of that.”Two of the burn victims in the incident were earlier flown to the United States for treatment while another man succumbed to his injuries.READ: Beryllium confirms death of burn victim, others flown overseas for treatment
