The working day adjusted wages and salaries sum of the whole economy was 1.8 per cent higher in February 2026 than in February 2025, according to Statistics Finland. The seasonally adjusted wages and salaries sum of the whole economy decreased by 0.4 per cent in February from the previous month. The working day adjusted wages and salaries sum increased significantly in the industry of finance and insurance (5.6). The growth was moderate in the industries of manufacturing (3.9), trade (1.9), other services (1.1) and construction (0.3). At the same period the working day adjusted wages and salaries sum decreased in the industries of private health and social work (3.2) and private education (1.2).
