The United States, Iran and regional mediators are reportedly negotiating terms for a potential 45-day ceasefire that could end the war. Sources told Axios that chances for a partial deal to be agreed upon over the next 48 hours are small despite the effort to prevent an escalation. The negotiations are being mediated through Pakistan, Egypt and Türkiye while US Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff and Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi have been in talks directly.
