‘Unjustified aggression’: US forces shoot down Iranian attack drones near the Strait of Hormuz

US reports claim American forces have shot down attack drones near the Strait of Hormuz. Iran state media says the Iranian military has fired warning shots in the region. US Central Command posted on X a statement on Iran’s drone attack, saying: “Moments ago, CENTCOM forces shot down four Iranian one-way attack drones that were launched toward the Strait of Hormuz. “The attack drones posed an immediate threat to regional maritime traffic. US forces subsequently struck Iranian coastal surveillance radar sites ... to defend against further attacks. “American forces remain vigilant and postured to respond to unjustified Iranian aggression in self-defence.”
