'Unacceptable': Rubio backs Trump in escalating Pope controversy

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio spoke on the feud surrounding US President Donald Trump and the Pope. “I think the President, without trying to characterise him … he doesn't understand why anybody, leave aside the Pope, the President and I for that matter … can't understand why anyone would think it's a good idea for Iran to ever have a nuclear weapon,” Mr Rubio said.
“Look what they’re doing with the Straits right now, they’re holding the whole world hostage, they have these sailors … on commercial ships that are going to starve to death out there, they don't care. “This is what they’re doing with the Straits. What do you think they would do if they had a nuclear weapon?” “I think the President's point is how anyone cannot see that is an unacceptable outcome and an unacceptable risk is beyond him; it's puzzling.”
