UAE announces return to in-person education from Monday

Dubai: The Ministry of Education announced the resumption of in-person learning for all students, teaching staff, and administrative staff in public and private schools and nurseries across the UAE, effective Monday, 11 May 2026.The decision follows continuous monitoring of developments and coordination with relevant authorities to ensure the continuity of the educational process and academic assessments.The ministry affirmed that educational institutions are committed to implementing approved safety and security protocols and procedures, supporting the smooth continuation of the education process while maintaining readiness to implement alternative learning models when needed in line with ongoing developments and continuous assessments.The ministry also confirmed the continuation of coordination with educational institutions to ensure a smooth return to in-person learning, adding that any further updates will be announced through official channels.
