Two dead in Boscobel crash

ST MARY, Jamaica —Two men were killed, and several others were injured following a two-vehicle collision on the Boscobel main road on Friday morning.The crash reportedly occurred around 9:00am near the rear entrance to Beaches Ocho Rios.Preliminary reports are that the two cars were travelling in the same direction when one attempted to overtake.While rejoining the line of traffic, the car reportedly collided with the rear section of the other vehicle.

Both cars reportedly ran off the roadway. One overturned while the other crashed into a tree and flipped.The three occupants were taken to the Port Maria hospital, where two were pronounced dead.They have been identified as 57-year-old Rudolph Cox and 49-year-old Terrice Richards, both of Jeffery Town, St Mary.Several other individuals who were involved in the collision and sustained injuries were treated at the Port Maria hospital.The St Mary police are investigating.-Ingrid Henry
