Two young children have died in a house fire in Wolverhampton on Friday evening, West Midlands police have confirmed. Officers were called to Mason Street in Wolverhampton around 8:30pm after a fire was reported. Despite firefighters initially rescuing two young children from the blaze, they could not be saved and were pronounced dead at the scene.Paramedics worked rapidly to administer advanced life support to both children but tragically they were both confirmed dead a short time later, West Midlands Ambulance Service said.
