Trump questions NATO commitments after France and Spain ‘awful’ to US

Former Labor MP Michael Danby says Spain and France have been “awful” to the US during the Iran conflict despite them being NATO allies. “It’s incredible that Spain and France, who are members of NATO, do not let American airplanes overflight,” Mr Danby told Sky News host Peta Credlin. “If you were an American taxpayer who’s spent trillions of dollars over decades, you’d wonder what’s the value of this treaty? “Spain and France have been awful, and although the British are letting B-52s take off, it’s still terrible.”
