Said nations, particularly Saudi Arabia, have resisted Israeli normalization for domestic political reasons, lining out a credible path towards Palestinian statehood — a condition Israel's current government rejects. Trump announced the demands on social media and instructed his representatives to act on them in real time, meaning diplomats learned their marching orders alongside the public.
